Abstract
In 1987, the Cervantine iconography was embellished with an edition of Don Quijote drawn by Antonio Saura. This original recreation made by a contemporary artist dealing with the relationship between images and writing, has been considered a model of reading of this universal classic work. The paper analyzes the characteristics of the work and explores the meanings of the intervention developed by this Aragonese painter
 
En 1987, l'iconographie cervantine fut enrichie par l'édition du Quijote illustrée par Antonio Saura. Cette nouvelle édition origínale de l'un des artistes contemporains s'intéressant au rapport entre Timage et l'écriture, est devenue un modele de lecture moderne d'un classique universel. L'article analyse les caractéristiques du travail, et essaie de saisir les significations du travail du peintre aragonais
