"Las cantigas de Tagle y López", en torno a un Medievo romano y unos emblemas nobiliarios: edición y estudio

Abstract

Este artículo presenta un estudio y edición de las Cantigas de Tagle y López, manuscritos que se encuentran en la Fundación Lázaro Galdiano y que aquí se postula pueden ser de finales del siglo xix o principios del xx. Las cantigas realizan una imitación del arte y la lengua de los siglos medios, al tiempo que explican los escudos y el origen de los apellidos Tagle y López. En este trabajo se intenta dar alguna explicación a lo que parecen ser falsificaciones para prestigiar a la familia que los habría encargado.

This article offers a study and edition of the Cantigas de Tagle y López, manuscripts found in the Fundación Lázaro Galdiano that may be composed between the end of the Nineteenth Century and the beginning of the Twentieh. These cantigas imitate the art and language of the Middle Ages while explaining the origins of Tagle and López’s coat of arms. In this work the author tries to find an explanation to these falsifications that seem to be ordered to prestige the owners.
