Abstract
An annotated translation includes the translation of some texts along with a subsequently commentary about the results and the problems encountered during the translation process. The purpose of this investigation project is to apply a translation model, in our case Nord's model of translation, to the translation of the following texts from English into Spanish.
-the article Language translation during disaster:A comparative analysis of five national approaches written by Sharon O’Brien, Federico Federici, Patrick Cadwell, Jay Marlowe, and Brian Gerber
-the article Mediating migration crises Sicily and the languages of despair written by Denise Filmer and Federico M. Federici
-the article Training citizen translators Design and delivery of bespoke training on the fundamentals of translation for New Zealand Red Cross written by Federico M. Federici and Patrick Cadwell
-the article Moses, time, and crisis translation written by Federico M. Federici y Khetam Al Sharou
After the translation of the proposed texts, we will analyse the problems we have encountered during the translation process and also the techniques that we have used. To conclude, we will make a summary of all the results and we will reach a conclusion regarding the usefulness of this specific translation model and we will also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Nord's model of translation. At the end of this process, we will decide what are the factors that intervene and influence the way in which these texts are translated and what
strategies or techniques we have used to solve the problems encountered during the translation process.
