El crisol pianístico de Ángel Oliver

Abstract

Al cumplirse el décimo aniversario del fallecimiento del compositor Ángel Oliver, es justo rememorarlo resaltando sus excelencias humanas y compositivas, y analizando su importante obra pianística, de la que conviene destacar su gran amor por el rico folklore de su país. El interés del compositor homenajeado por la escritura musical para piano en sus diferentes combinaciones (a solo, cuatro manos y dos pianos) nos ofrece, a lo largo de su extensa producción, un compendio de recursos de gran interés compositivo e interpretativo. Al estudio de esta faceta del trabajo de Ángel Oliver dedicaremos el presente artículo.

On the tenth anniversary of the death of the composer Angel Oliver, it’s fair to remember him standing out his human and composing excellences, and also to analyze his important piano work, from which we should emphasize his huge love for the rich folklore of his country. The interest of the composer, who has been honored because of the musical notation for piano in its different combinations (alone, four hands and two pianos) offers us, along his wide production, a compendium of resources full of composing and interpreting interest. We will dedicate the present article to the study of this aspect.
