Habitar: la importancia del lugar y del espacio propio. Los casos de José Antonio Coderch, Miguel Fisac y Fernando Higueras

Abstract

La conexión principal entre arquitectura y filosofía reside en el concepto de habitar, el cual tiene múltiples matices. Para su análisis en profundidad, la metodología empleada abarca tres aspectos: contexto, continente y contenido. El contexto se refiere al habitar en cuanto al hábitat, al tiempo, espacio y lugar; mientras que el continente comprende el habitar como el habitáculo o refugio. El contenido hace alusión al interior de la casa, al hogar, incluyendo los objetos personales del habitante, las vivencias, los recuerdos y los espacios propios. Se busca reflejar la importancia de la personalidad en el lugar donde se habita y la trascendencia psicológica que tiene para el ser humano disfrutar de espacios propios donde poder ser uno mismo desde lo más profundo y genuino. Para ello se recurre a casos concretos. Los ejemplos elegidos representan a tres arquitectos españoles, José Antonio Coderch, Miguel Fisac y Fernando Higueras, los cuales construyen su propia casa entre 1956 y 1971. Se analizan sus viviendas desde su personalidad, haciendo uso de la metodología propuesta y con la ayuda del eneagrama, herramienta utilizada en psicología que describe nueve arquetipos mentales de personalidad.

The main connection between architecture and philosophy lies in the concept of living, which has many hints. For its in-depth analysis, the methodology used focuses on three aspects: context, continent and content. Context refers to habitat in terms of habitat, time, space and place; while the continent interprets it as the cabin or shelter. The content refers to the interior of the house, the home, including the personal objects of the inhabitant, the experiences, the memories and the spaces themselves. It seeks to reflect the importance of the personality in the place where an individual lives, and the psychological significance it has for human beings to enjoy their own spaces, where they can be themselves, from the most genuine and deepest way. For this purpose, specific cases are used. The chosen examples represent three Spanish architects, José Antonio Coderch, Miguel Fisac and Fernando Higueras, who built their own house between 1956 and 1971. Their dwellings are analyzed from their personality, making use of the proposed methodology and with the support of the enneagram , a tool used in psychology that describes nine mental archetypes of personality.
