Abstract
1,5-Bis-(N-benzyl-N,N-diethylammionium)diethyl ether, dichloride (BBDE Cl) has been tested as phase transfer catalyst. Several test reactions have been performed, comparing yields obtained with several commercial catalysts, involving the transference of different nucleophiles. Williamson reactions on diphenols were used to test its ability in transferring dinucleophiles, producing higher yields at lower concentrations
