Abstract
Through this essay we will approach human trafficking for the purpose of sexual slavery froma triple perspective: criminal, criminologist and victimological, in order to get a general view from the criminal offense included in the criminal code.
On one hand, we are analyzing the international and national normative-notion of human trafficking. Once the criminal definition is delimited, this essay would focus on the legal right protected, analyzing the criminal definition of the basic crime and the form of the crime that is qualified by aggravating circumstances. After that, using a recent judgment, the phases of the crime would be explained. Finally, we would focus on rights and protection of the victim of trafficking, the role of the victim in the criminal proceeding and the value of this testimony, later making a brief analysis of the common profile of the trafficker.
