Hidacio y Censorio : el "foedus" de 438 entre Roma y los suevos

Abstract

En el presente artículo se analizan las complejas negociaciones entre el reino de los suevos, instalados en Galecia y cuyo rey era Hemerico, y el Imperio Romano, a cuyo frente estaba el general Aecio, que concluyeron en un "foedus" que regularizaba un asentamiento ilegal producido en 411. También se estudia el papel que en la consecución de este tratado tuvieron Hidacio y Censorio.

In this article we analyse the complex negotiations between the suevic kingdom, placed in Galecia and whose king was Hermericus, and the Roman Empire, at the head of whom was general Aetius. These negotiations concluded by a "foedus" that regularised an illegal settlement occurred in 411. We also study the part Hydatius and Censorius played in the achievement of this treaty.
