The aim of this paper is to study the metric doctrine of Latin inside grammar from the end of the 14th century to the end of the 15th century. The author begins her analysis with Pastrana's Ars, which is still a representative of Medieval metrics, and continues it through several authors up to Nebrija, who applied the philological humanistic method and improved
it.
