Through field research, the results were obtained by comparing these languages and forms: Mexican Spanish (regionalisms and indigenous vocabulary), general Spanish, and English. Those are the languages that Mexican migrants use to refer to common foods in both countries. The results indicate that both men and women use more mexicanisms, followed by English and, as a third option, general forms of the Spanish language. %K Español en los Estados Unidos %K Español mexicano %K Léxico de alimentos %K Variantes del español %K Indigenismos %K Spanish in the United States %K Mexican Spanish %K Food lexicon %K Mexican migrants %K Spanish language variation %K Mexicanisms %K Indigenous vocabulary %K Lingüística %K Linguistics %K Sociología %K Sociology %~ Biblioteca Universidad de Alcala
