This article has its origins in the research -developed for over ten years- in the Meridian Research Group (HUM 200) of the University of Granada led by the own author, on the theme of the Scientific-Didactic Principles, new model for the teaching of Geography and History, which have been published in three books, two dozens of articles and three doctoral theses. Two ideas stand out in the bottom of it, on one hand, the theory of PCD, which holds that these should form the base of educational research and teaching of Geography, because they delve into the matter and going to the essential thereof, and, on the other hand, argues that creativity must also be the background of teaching and research because it allows a more rigorous and better training of the student. These ten principles are: universality, spatiality, temporality, modality, activity, intent, interdependence, causality, identity and relativity.
To develop a research and a creative geographical education, it´s necessary a proper and conducive environment this triggers curiosity and encourage intellectual inquiry. An analytical methodology, reflective and participatory. It also requires the existing creativity models in nature and cultural heritage of History. All of it to promote, through education and science, a common space of coexistence, cooperation and meeting, which must be respected by all
citizens and cultures, regardless of the legitimate position of each person in the ideological, political, social or cultural scope.

The present article aims to be of help for those teaching professionals who are willing to change or try new methodologies in the teaching and learning process. As a starting point, we take the definition of meaningful
learning, which was developed by the psychologist David Ausubel, and the variables that need to be followed so as to achieve a proper use as well as effective results. Outstanding authors such as Josep Novak, Antoni Ballester,
Fermín González or Alberto Cañas have relied on the usage of meaningful learning and their results have shown to be positive. Finally, a practise to change the methodology for the unit of work about floods has been considered. In order to do so, the press and the conceptual map are the resources used to suggest the practise.

The noise mapping’s workshop has led to the contact and collaboration of teachers and students with companies specialized in the development of noise maps and, at the same time, to the collaboration of teachers of different subjects related to Geographic Information Systems and Statistics bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Seville. At the same time, the hands-on workshop has led to the strengthening of practical training of all the subjects involved. This fact also favors the adaptation of the academic training to the existing social demand concerning the technical preparation of future graduates in environmental issues. The experience has been very positive for teachers and students, to the extent that collaboration and personal relationships with business professionals have motivated students, while enabling the updating of the curriculum and making the development of practices in a more motivating, flexible and adaptive way.

forma práctica las habilidades y destrezas adquiridas mediante el empleo de medios de observación indirecta; analizar las características y magnitudes de los componentes naturales y antrópicos de ese sistema territorial; identificar e interpretar el impacto de los procesos territoriales; comprender las relaciones causales y/o de implicación entre los componentes, teniendo en cuenta las interrelaciones entre ellos y los paisajes resultantes;
The geographic space is an active entity that is constructed through interactions between natural and human elements that constitute it. In the region of Albarracin, the territorial structure elements originate a very interesting
model. The basic objective of this paper is to show and interpret the territorial key of this model with a didactic purpose, because we think that it is a very suitable environment for the settlement of a didactic project with students
of geography that tours the different local landscape environments. Territorial components and processes are
clearly identified and the same goes for their interrelationships. In phenomenological key, we can say that an integral view thereof is possible in this space, containing at a time appearances and essences linked to the variety and strong identity of its territorial heritage on which the particular historical model of governance that has been developed has
had an enormous influence.
We start from a prior discussion of the educational effectiveness and interest of the field work within the framework of the ECTS methodology. Then, we plan the field trip itself, so that the students are able: to apply, by direct observation, the assimilated geographic concepts in the classroom; to use the skills and the abilities acquired through the use of indirect means of observation; to analyze the characteristics and magnitudes of natural and anthropogenic components of the territorial system; to identify and interpret the impact of territorial processes to understand the causal and/or implication relations between the components taking into account the interrelationships between them and the resultant landscape; to determine which components are a more explicatory value for understanding the territorial model; to interpret the actual variety of natural and human
landscapes; and, finally, they evaluate qualitatively the territorial capital available and their distribution and potential
for the socioeconomic development. Finally, we provide some observations about the natural and socioeconomics,
cultural and historical haracteristics of the territory.

The launch two years of the reform of the entrance examinations to university has resulted in significant changes in relation to the subjects taught in secondary schools. In this new framework is necessary, first of all, a reflection
of the curriculum and teaching methods that are used in the teaching of the subject of Geography. Also, secondly,
it is interesting to check the first effects of this reform on the teaching of geography in both selectivity tests and in school, and finally deep interest to know how changes in society in recent years have affected the traditional
understanding of geography and whether these changes have been reflected in the field of Geography. This approach makes proposals for change, both in relation to the need to adapt content to the interests of students and in terms
of material giving the leadership that seems to go missing in comparison with other materials that are closer and better to the demands of society.

This text is the result of an epistemological reflection on the functions, aims and objectives of the teaching of geography. From a literature search we assume that the teacher should reflect on the matter taught in the classroom or outside. It should not be guided only by opinion or by curricular materials, such as the textbook. Not only is it necessary to master the subject, content, curriculum, teaching methods and strategies, pedagogical and psychological foundations of education, but is central to the educational question, now, of geography. What
geography teaching, why and what to teach geography? And where teaching geography? As a result of the work we propose a reflection on the role of geography in education not only formal but also non-formal and informal.

Social and civic competences are the basis of the relationship between geography and eating disorders. The ideal of beauty taken throughout the history of Western thought will structure the analysis of the social impact that selfimage has for Western citizens–trough media and the Information technologies. The approach to alternative geographies will be considered not only as extremely essential in order to adopt a preventive attitude to those disorders but also as a necessary educational tool for the teacher of Geography.

Since water is part of the social culture and it is a relevant academic content, it appears to be advisable to know how school children perceive it. In this study the perception of school children on the water issue was analyzed and how its teaching on the curricular development of the last thirty years has been tackled. The research was organized in
a series of phases with specific objectives which was put into practice with almost 1000 students of compulsory secondary education from eleven high schools in Aragon. Generally the image of the compulsory secondary education that the students have is only slightly varied, since it is built around a very limited number of ideas. This
is particularly true in case of students that have finished primary education and have not done the first two years of secondary education yet. A big part of the ideas are supported on very static concepts, linked to the water properties and to some environmental factors, closer to the Nature Science subject area than to Geography. In few occasions the comprehension of the processes is evidenced, whereas concepts or undeveloped data prevail. The students build ideas, very resistant to changes, which are very difficult to modify with the development of activities that require them to start up abstraction and connection abilities that somehow involve processes. This image is not very different from the image given by the majority of textbooks that scholars handle, which give priority to water as a classical
scholar content over socialized water. It would be advisable to design learning sequences that would give priority to the interaction between the process (adapted to the abilities), the content (new aspects linked to the connections in the territory and the societies where water is involved) and the context (close to the students, for both the field of
study and the intention).
