AB This article deals with the impact of the election of Franklin Delano Roosevelt,the Democratic president of the United States of America, in the Madrilenian press. Itanalyses the content of his inaugural address and the political programme which heproposed to carry out. In addition, it explains the initial measures adopted by hisgovernment in order to solve the American economic crisis.
