Likewise, it relevance lies in the fact that the prevalence is increasing due to the current health crisis of COVID-19. Furthermore, this Final Master’s Project develops an intervention project in the IAD to optimize the interventions aimed at its treatment. After carrying out a bibliographic review of intervention program in this matter and empirically justifying the subsequent intervention proposal through the presentation of a unique case, this project is formulated from a humanistic approach that integrates Gestalt Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. Through these approaches variables such as the therapeutic alliance, and emotions as a way of work are revalued. The developed proposal consists of 12 sessions which three phases are included: pre-evaluation, intervention and post-evaluation. The topics to work on are: 1) awareness, expression and regulation of emotions; 2) dialogue with the body; 3) reality testing practices; 4) polarities; and 5) relapse prevention. The conclusions highlights some improvements to optimize the effectiveness of the program: increase dedication to emotional management and include a prevention proposal. Likewise, some limitations are highlighted, such as the impossibility of applying the intervention due to the current health crisis, as well as future lines of research.
