Until the present day there has been a Baroque theatre situated in thecastle and it is considered to be a European rarity. The castle library which isexpected to have one of the most important book funds of the Czech Republiccontains book collections belonging to the House of Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg.The works from the library wrítten in Spanish are thematically the same as the onesbeing read in Spain in Europe at that time. As for Spanish plays deposited there wecan mention the following ones - an anonymous play Thebaida, Comedy about Calisto and Melibea by F.Rojas, tragedies by C.Virués, eight collections of comedies by Lope de Vega and two dramas by Calderón de la Barca.
