In this research, we compare Miss Cora by Julio Cortázar and The Lame Pigeon by Eduardo Mendicutti, whose protagonists are two boys who are at the beginning of adolescence and they have other characteristics that set a similar starting point. Both protagonists are discovering a new manner of thinking and feeling and they have their first experience of sexual desire. However, their experiences are hard because their families and the environment that surrounds them don't accept the change in which they are immersed and both of them suffer to forge an own identity. Miss Cora and The Lame Pigeon reflect the fragility of the construction of the adolescence identity.
