RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Angloamericanismo español e hispano norteamericano : los "Fulbright" estadounidenses en la España franquista (1959-1975) A1 Rivière Gómez, Aurora AB 1946: World War II recently finished and the Cold War just beginning, the Fulbright Program was set in motion becoming the widest and most ambitious project of cultural, educational and scientific exchange of the United States. In 1958, being the NorthAmerican Government distancing against the General Franco's political regime already overcome, the agreements for the Fulbright's Program implementation in Spain wereentered into. This article focuses on those Americans who arrived in Spain through theFulbright's Commission between 1959 and 1975. lt analyses the singular contribution ofthis group of grant holders in a double sense of cultural imports and exports. On the onehand, it emphasizes their participation in teaching and their effort to academicallyinstitutionalize the English language and the Anglo-American studies.
