Entrenamiento en percepción remota en Brasil : situación actual y perspectivas futuras

Abstract

El Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciáis (INPE) es la institución de investigación más importante en el área de percepción remota en Brasil, y quizás en Latinoamérica. En los últimos siete años el INPE ha contribuido a la formación de más de mil técnicos brasileños, africanos y latinoamericanos, y ha realizado más de cien cursos. El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer una retrospectiva histórica de las actividades educativas en el INPE, en el área de percepción remota, desde octubre de 1985 hasta hoy en día, y presentar las metas futuras que nos proponemos alcanzar.

The National Institute for Space Research (INPE) is the most important remote sensing research institution in Brazil, and maybe in Latin America. In the past seven years INPE has trained more than one thousand Brazilian, African and Latin American specialists and has held more than one hundred trainings. The purpose of this paper is to do a historical retrospective about the training activities at INPE in the remote sensing area, from october 1985 until today, and to present the future goals that we intend to reach.
