Parámetros geo-edáficos relacionados con el estado hídrico de suelos de pastizales mediterráneos

Abstract

La caracterización del medio edáfico para las comunidades de pastos mediterráneos ha sido poco conocida comparada con otros aspectos de los mismos. Dado el papel que juega el agua en este tipo de ambientes, se estudian aquí distintos parámetros que permiten saber el estado hídrico en los suelos de estos sistemas naturales. Se ponen de manifiesto aquellas propiedades físicas que, junto a la materia orgánica, parece estar relacionado con la disponibilidad del agua por los vegetales, así como con el encharcamiento de la capa superficial edáfica.

The characteristics of the soil environment mediterranean grassland communities have been less studied than other aspects of these communities. In light of the importance of water in mediterranean grassland environment, we examine in this work the effect of different perameters on the hydric state of the soil in these systems. The results highlight those physical properties which, in conjuntion with organic matter, appear to be most related to the availability of water for vegetation, as well as those which affect flooding of the surface soil layer.
