The author exposes in an amazing way the relationship between the American slavery in 1808 ay the beginning of the Independence conflict and its coincidence with a legal system such as the "Partidas de Alfonso X" made seven centuries ago. Within the framework of the "Partidas", witch were the only "Código Negro" ("Black Code") possessed by the Spanish colonies in America, Lucena focuses on the servitude of man as an antinatural evil and the emancipation of servants.
