L'Université d'Alcalá de Henares en 1520-1521

Abstract

Los años 1520-1521 que abarcan este breve y agudo artículo del profesor Pérez son fundamentales para la historia de la Universidad de Alcalá. No sólo para ella, también, como es bien sabido, para la historia que se desarrolla en España en estos momentos. No en vano este artículo se dedicó al príncipe de los hispanistas: Marcel Bataillon. Salvo cuestiones puntuales, es preciso reflexionar sobre el tema de los pro Comuneros y los anti Comuneros, cuestión que influyó de forma trascendental para la Universidad de Alcalá. Dentro del Colegio Mayor de San Ildefonso entre castellanos y andaluces, también tuvo su importancia, en Andalucía véase el caso de Sevilla. Lo que queda claro es que con la muerte de Cisneros desaparece una época básica de una de las grandes universidades del Occidente europeo, que según se ve en el presente artículo da lugar a no pocos enfrentamientos.

The years 1520-1521 that cover this brief and deep article by Professor Pérez are essential for the history of the University of Alcalá. And not only for it, but also, as it is well known, for the history of Spain at the moment. However this article is dedicated to the prince of the Hispanics: Marcel Bataillon. Excluding certain questions, it is necessary to consider about the subject of the “pro Comuneros” and the “anti Comuneros”, thing that had a transcendental influence for the University of Alcalá. It also played and important role between Castilian and andalusian people within San Ildefonso High School. That is the case of Sevilla, in Andalusia. What we have to consider is that with Cisneros’s death disappears the basic period of one of the great universities in Occidental Europe, that, as we see in this article, gave birth to many fights.
