Orientación ideológica y elaboración literaria en los "Hechos del condestable Miguel Lucas"

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la elaboración literaria de los Hechos del condestable Miguel Lucas y ofrece nuevos datos sobre las diferencias estilísticas en esta crónica. Asimismo, determina la forma como en el texto la expresión literaria está al servicio de los intereses políticos del condestable; este estudio también muestra la manera en que pudieron soslayarse en la obra los riesgos de narrar asuntos políticamente delicados, como, por ejemplo, el enfrentamiento entre Enrique IV de Castilla y su hermanastra Isabel.

This article analises the literary elaboration of Hechos del condestable Miguel Lucas, and offers new information on the differences of style within this chronicle. Besides, it determines the way literary language in this text is used in order to satisfy Miguel Lucas' political interests; this study also shows how the risks of narrating some delicate political matters -as the struggle between Henry IV of Castile and his half sister Isabel, for instance- could be avoided in this book.
