Comentario sobre los informes de la FIO

Abstract

Con la publicación del IV Informe sobre Derechos Humanos, relativo a la protección de la salud, la Federación Iberoamericana de Ombudsman (organización que agrupa a las Defensorías del Pueblo e instituciones homólogas existentes en Iberoamérica) consolida su labor de difusión y promoción de los derechos humanos a nivel regional. En esta nota se da cuenta, sobre todo, de la metodología seguida en la elaboración de estos Informes y de su logro seguramente más significativo, la formulación de recomendaciones dirigidas a los Estados iberoamericanos. Se trata, sin duda, de documentos muy útiles para la discusión sobre la situación y perspectivas de los derechos humanos en Iberoamérica.

With the publication of The Human Rights Repon IV, with regards to the right to health, the Latinamerican Federation of Ombudsman (an organization made up of the «People's Defenders» and their corresponding institutions in latinamerica) has focused its work, at a regional level, to the regional spread and promotion of human rights. In this work, what is evident above all from the methodology, which the organization has transcribed in the development of these Reports, and also from its significant acheivements, is the formulation of recommendations directed toward the latinamerican countries. It is, without a doubt, made up of very useful documents for, not only, the discussion of the current situation, but also, for the understanding of the different human rights perspectives in Latin America.
