Abstract
La última batalla diplomática entre Beijing y Taipei se disputa en América Latina, y ello se produce en momentos de la escalada de tensiones en el Estrecho de Taiwán. El MERCOSUR, Paraguay y Centroamérica han experimentado en los últimos meses la presión del conflicto del Pacífico, sin haber tomado debida nota de las complejidades que esconde. Hasta ahora, todo han sido beneficios: oportunidades de inversión, comercio y ayuda económica.
 
The last diplomatic battle between Beijing and Taipei is disputed in Latin America, and it takes place in a moment in which the climbed of tensions in the Taiwan Strait is been produced. In the last months, MERCOSUR, Paraguay and Central America have experienced the pressure of the Pacific conflict, without taking into account the complexities that it hides. Until now, everything has been benefits: opportunities of investment, commerce and economic aid.
