Abstract
Este artículo trata de indagar en la creciente feminización de la política estadounidense, ámbito donde las mujeres han estado relegadas a posiciones secundarias. Se analiza el auge de la mujer en la política, a todos los niveles, pero principalmente en el ámbito legislativo federal. Asimismo, se estudia la dificultad que tienen las mujeres para poder ocupar puestos de responsabilidad política. Y, por último, se examina el papel de Hillary Clinton como potencial candidata a liderar el próximo ejecutivo. This article analyzes the increasing relevance of women in us poli tics, a field that has historically been dominated by roen, and where women could
only be found in secondary positions. The article p.rtly covers the difficulties women have nowadays to run in any electoral process at all political levels. Then, it studies how, in spite of those adversities, women are now acquiring a higher profile, especially in the federal Congress. And finally, it.presents the possibility of having a woman as president of the US in 2016.
