Abstract
In this Master's Thesis (TFM), we are going to create a didactic session on financial education,
more specifically, focused on bank loans and interest rates. This session has been proposed due
to the need to promote and implement a quality financial education that allows students to have
knowledge of how the financial market works, as it is a topic that is often overlooked in the
classroom.
For any teacher wishing to carry out this teaching session, this TFM will be divided into two parts.
Firstly, a theoretical framework will be presented in which the financial concepts that have been
considered most relevant and accessible for students in the first year of the baccalaureate in
Social Sciences have been collected. In this section, not only the theoretical concepts will be
presented, but also the mathematical formulae and calculations necessary for solving problems
or situations that may arise both in the classroom and in real life. On the other hand, and for a
better understanding, a series of numerical examples are given to facilitate visual
comprehension.
Secondly, the didactic session is developed, explaining how the project is going to be carried out,
with its respective objectives and the basic knowledge it seeks to achieve, as well as a series of
activities that will enable it to be achieved.
