existente permite a la autora encarar la
universidad quiteña desde distintos puntos
de vista: históricos, filosóficos, sociológicos,
etc.. Es por ello que tras presentarnos la
trayectoria de las tres universidades
existentes hasta 1788 (fecha de la fundación
de la primera universidad pública) centrará
su atención en analizar dos aspectos
historiográficos esenciales: las líneas
maestras del pensamiento pedagógico y los
distintos intentos de reforma académica
llevados a cabo en el último cuarto del siglo

dispersal allows the author to confront the
university of Quito from different points of
view: historical, philosophical, sociological,
etc.. After presenting the trajectory of the
three existing universities since 1788 (date
of the foundation og the first public
university) the author will centre her
attention in analysing two essential
historiographical aspects: the main lines of
the pedagogical thought and the different
attempts of academic reform carried out
during the last quarter og the XVlll century. | |
