Abstract
The few records of women comic artists in the last decades of the twentieth century has spurred research
in the field of gender and feminist studies. Such efforts are evidenced by scarce articles, dissertations,
theses, and initiatives by women’s collectives that seek, through articulations, events and publications,
to disseminate not only what is produced today by women comic artists, but also to do justice to the
memory of past and present artists. Our objective is to compile a comprehensive overview of these networks, collectives, and projects that are working to carry out the crucial tasks of curating, disseminating,
and organizing collectively in Brazil through websites, blogs, online social networks, and offline actions.
From 2010, we highlight the initiatives of Lady’s Comics and Mina de HQ, in addition to more recent
collectives that emerged in the northern region such as Mulheres Artistas do Pará – MARPARA and
Serendi, bringing together artists from Pará, and MáTinta, which is composed of women comic artists
from Amazonas.
