Abstract
«Everything Everywhere All at Once», escrita y dirigida por Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once,” written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. The film presents us with the story of a Chinese immigrant in the United States who finds herself involved in an adventure in which she has to explore the infinite possibilities of the multiverse. Each universe presents a new version of the protagonist and adopts a different aesthetic and narrative. Each universe has a cinematographic language that refers to the films of our collective memory such as “The Matrix” (1999).
This work tries to analyze how this cinematographic work manages, through a perspective approach, to take the audience to these multiple planes of reality that the protagonist lives. This visual exercise goes hand in hand with other elements that help build these atmospheres, such as light or architecture, and each universe has its own personalized production. As there are many universe jumps, there are scenes in which this stage curtain is what gives meaning to the scenes per se, becoming one more protagonist. Therefore, the film will have a great impact in terms of the aspects linked to the “perceptual”, which will leave their mark as alternatives of expression in relation to the real and virtual, and the architecture will act as a framework to make it possible.
Based on the concept of the multiverse proposed by “The Daniels”, it is INTENDED to study the configuration of spaces in the artistic framework of an imminent future where three-dimensionality passes into the background, and to understand it from the transversality of the arts between architecture and cinema, the which converge in making the perception of the space where a plot is inhabited or takes place.
