Abstract
This paper deals with the new proposal for a law on prostitution and pimping by modifying the Penal Code, taking a more abolitionist policy and toughening the penalties for all forms of pimping.
The aim of this paper is to analyse the socialist proposal regarding the modification of the articles related to prostitution in the Penal Code and to see if these new articles do not have the opposite effect and harm women and Girls in Prostitution.
Not all countries deal with Prostitution in the same way. What they all seem to have in common is the fight against trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. But will there really be gender equality as long as there are people who profit from practices such as these, in which women are so denigrated?
