Abstract
The main objective of this Final Degree Project is the simulation of active and passive
radar scenarios in multistatic configurations, and the design of a first version of the
simulation tool.
Studies of the operating principle of active and passive radars, different waveforms and
the ambiguity function as a tool for their characterization are presented.
In this first version, basic antenna models and basic propagation losses are included, but
the available tools for future updates are described: propagation models, clutter, ...
Tools have also been developed to study the signals at the antenna terminals and at the
output of the matched filter. The latter define the input space of the radar detector.
Results show the high versatility and potential improvements of the simulator.
