Abstract
The high comorbidity between anxiety and depressive disorders indicates that
conventional treatment based on psychiatric diagnostic systems has reached certain
limitations. In the past few years, transdiagnostic treatments characterized by
intervening in the cognitive and behavioral processes responsible for the
maintenance of the problem have risen. In the case of anxious-depressive emotional
disorders (ED), it has been proven that they present common patterns of functioning
in the process of emotional dysregulation, preventing the individual from an adequate adaptation and an optimal integral functioning. A transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral group intervention proposal is presented, based on the emotional
regulation (ER) construct for patients over 18 years of age who present mixed
anxious-depressive symptomatology, developed after the analysis of the results
obtained in a systematic theoretical review on the topic of study. The main objective
of the intervention is to achieve a reduction in symptomatology, as well as to improve
long-term ER through the acquisition of adaptive strategies.
