Homenaje senatorial en la Península Ibérica

Abstract

La relación entre los senadores y las provincias es un tema que ha recibido actualmente un gran impulso, generalmente con la finalidad de conocer cuáles eran los vínculos que unían a éstos con las ciudades del imperio. En el presente artículo se pretende ahondar un poco más en esta línea, pero cambiando el enfoque. Tomando como fuente de estudio los homenajes que recibieron los senadores en las tres provincias hispanas durante el Alto Imperio, el autor pretende analizar el reflejo que este hábito cultural plasmó en la Península Ibérica obteniendo la imago epigráfica que tanto las ciudades como los particulares mantenían con este ordo social.
