Abstract
El presente artículo analiza el origen, desarrollo y decadencia de la clientela de Cn. Pompeyo Magno (eos. I 70 a.C.) en la Galia Cisalpina. Esta clientela fue creada por Cn. Pompeyo Estrabón (eos. 89 a.C), pero fue posteriormente eclipsada por la acción de C. Julio César (eos. I 59 a.C). A pesar de ello, Pompeyo siguió disfrutando de considerable influencia en la provincia.
 
The present article studies the origin, development and decadence of the clientship of Cn. Pompey the Great (eos. I 70 B.C) in the Cisalpine Gaul. This clientship was created by Cn. Pompey Strabo (eos. 89 B.C), but it was eclipsed later on by the action of C lulius Caesar (eos. I 59 B.C). Despite this circumstance, Pompey continued enjoying considerable influence in this territory.
