»nombre» tal vez »Margarida». | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The article discusses two love poems written by Íñigo
López de Mendoza in which the speaker contrasts the name (»nombre»)
of a lady with her nickname (»mote») without making them explicit.
Through a close reading of the poetic texts, and by taking Dante's Rime
petrose into account (a work included twice in the Spanish Marquis' private
library), I suggest that the lady's nickname was »(Doña) Piedra»,
whereas her name might have been »Margarida». | |
