Abstract
This TFM tries to show the impact that the inclusion of a language level exam, in this case the DELE A2, in the process of obtaining Spanish nationality has had on the world of ELE teaching. From an oral test carried out until 2015 by an official of the Ministry of Justice, to the preparation of a level test adapted to the CEFR and the PCIC, with all the guarantees and all the knowledge of the Instituto Cervantes with the sole purpose of preserving and guaranteeing the rights and dignity of migrants and the quality of the test in 2020. We will also see the dangers that loom over the issue of fraud by comparing the Spanish case with those of France and Italy. We will observe the responsibility that falls on the ELE teachers who are involved in the examination process, since they play from
the entry into force of the law a role that we will try to elucidate: integrative or discriminatory. Finally, in the conclusions we will provide our assessment of the current situation in Spain, and how the challenges presented by this exam can be a great opportunity for the teaching of ELE.
