Abstract
aprendizaje significativo. Emotions have received late attention from different fields. However, new discoveries in neuroscience have placed the focus on emotions and this has influenced other disciplines such as language teaching. With this background, in this paper a theoretical review of the treatment of emotions from different disciplines is done,
focusing on linguistics and pragmatics.
As a starting point, emotions are identified for their expressive and evaluative value. From this, recent studies are shown on its treatment from the lexical and pragmatic dimension, and it justifies its treatment in language teaching through modulation. It could be cultural and contextual, and, in both cases, it supposes a difficulty in language teaching due to its socio-cultural and variable nature.
Finally, the representation of such content and its lexical-pragmatic relationship is exposed through different resources for teaching Spanish as a foreign language (SFL). Specifically, in the dictionaries through the analysis of connotative lexicographical information, the objectives and the inventory of the Plan Curricular del Instituto
Cervantes (PCIC), and the images as a very useful resource for attention and meaningful
learning.
