Creación de agentes configurables en tiempo real mediante aprendizaje por refuerzo con recompensa como entrada

Abstract

En este trabajo se ha investigado la viabilidad de la técnica CARI en agentes entrenados con aprendizaje por refuerzo en un entorno que consiste en un juego de plataformas 2D. Esta técnica consigue que, mediante una sola sesión de entrenamiento, se obtenga un agente capaz de jugar con varios comportamientos o estilos de juego. Estos no tienen por qué ser arquetípicos, sino que pueden combinarse para obtener comportamientos nuevos. Esto se consigue parametrizando el modelo de recompensa al entrenar, por lo que se ha estudiado los efectos y la relación de variar esos parámetros o coeficientes respecto a la eficiencia del resultado final. Finalmente, se concluye que la técnica es viable si se realiza correctamente esta variación de coeficientes.

In this paper, the feasibility of the CARI technique has been investigated in agents trained with reinforcement learning in an environment consisting of a 2D platform game. This technique achieves that, through a single training session, an agent capable of playing with various behaviors or play-styles is obtained. These do not have to be archetypal but can be combined to obtain new behaviors. This is achieved by parameterizing the reward model when training, so the effects and the relationship of varying these parameters or coefficients with respect to the efficiency of the final result have been studied. Finally, it is concluded that the technique is viable if this variation of coefficients is carried out correctly.
