Abstract
Interdisciplinary activities, so popular in education now, try to make it easier for students to connect different subjects from the official curriculum and keep the attention of those students who are not so motivated in the classroom. Relationships as wonderful as the one between art and mathematics, allow that the understanding of geometry or proportionality can be seen at the same time we care about aesthetic and beauty.
The purpose of this final project is to contribute to this educational scene, through the creation of different activities included in a didactic proposal for the 3rd ESO course. All of them show a connection between art and mathematics through the paintings in the Prado Museum. The paintings will be worked on in the classroom at the same time we will work on the contents that are dealt with in them, and later the students will visit them on a trip to the Prado Museum. In each of the works, its internal geometry will be shown
and the mathematics that compose it, will be understood.
The incorporation of new technologies to the teaching and learning process and the
commitment to the creativity of the students will be fundamental aspects of this didactic
proposal, and will make it a more attractive, enriching, dynamic and connected with the
21st century society
