Abstract
The aim of this TFM is to provide an interdisciplinary vision in the teaching of mathematics that motivates students through a practical and visual approach that facilitates the understanding of the topic: movements. This topic is directly linked to art according to the RD 1105/2014 and is also a common syllabus for the subjects of Mathematics and Plastic, Visual and Audiovisual Education, therefore an interdisciplinary approach is appropriate. The proposed activities arise from the need of a holistic education that trains students for the globalized society in which they will find themselves immersed once the educational stage is over. At the same time, the activities respond to the Spanish legislation
that increasingly insists on multidisciplinary and competency-based education, requirements
that have not been yet applied significantly in the classroom. Finally, it provides an integrating vision of mathematics and art based on the rupture of the art/science dichotomy that is taking place both in the social and educational spheres with proposals such as STEAM and Arts Integration. These proposals are specially significant in the education of mathematics, in which Spanish students have a low degree of motivation and high level of anxiety, relevant factors in the educational context, since they influence the performance and the correct learning of the subject
