El conocimiento del español por los inmigrantes y su integración en el ámbito educativo: desafíos, conflictos potenciales y respuestas

Abstract

El incremento del volumen de población migrante supone para los estados y regiones que lo experimentan una fuente de riqueza y de potenciales conflictos al mismo tiempo. Estos conflictos, que pueden presentarse en todos los ámbitos lo hacen también en el ámbito edu­cativo y desde las edades más tempranas. Un factor que puede con­tribuir significativamente a reducir el potencial de conflicto es un buen conocimiento de la lengua del país de acogida, algo en lo que el sistema educativo también tiene mucho que aportar. En estas páginas trataremos de analizar el potencial de conflictividad y las medidas para tratar de prevenirla/reducirla en el ámbito educativo en el terri­torio de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid.

The increase in the volume of the immigrant population is a source of wealth and poten­tial conflicts for the states and regions that experience it at the same time. These conflicts, which can occur in all areas, also occur in the educational sphere and from an early age. One factor that can con­tribute significantly to reducing the potential for conflict is a good knowledge of the language of the host country, something to which the education system also has much to contribute. In these pages we will try to analyse the potential for conflict and the measures to try to prevent/reduce it in the educational sphere in the territory of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.
