Centro cultural El Campillo: Biblioteca, archivo histórico y museo de la Guerra Civil en la antigua fábrica PACADAR

Abstract

El proyecto se desarrolla al hilo del tema propuesto de El Río Jarama. La elección del emplazamiento es en La fábrica Pacadar, a orillas de la laguna del Campillo, en el Parque Regional del Sureste, en Madrid. Lo extraordinario de este lugar no solo es el genius loci que parece habitar en este entorno “natural” próximo a las urbanizaciones, entre los escarpes de Rivas-Vaciamadrid y la Autovía del Este; también lo es por su proximidad a importantes enclaves de nuestra historia reciente, El Espolón y el Puente de Arganda, que han inspirado el uso de la propuesta.Las principales ideas que han conducido el proyecto han sido la puesta en valor de los restos de la Guerra Civil con la creación de un museo y archivo reutilizando el edificio de la fábrica Pacadar, y el fomento de las actividades deportivas y lúdicas al aire libre en el entorno de la laguna del Campillo, que fue la antigua gravera de la fábrica.Actualmente, el edificio Pacadar se encuentra sin licencia de actividad por incompatibilidad con la protección del Par-que. La firma fue pionera de la construcción prefabricada y pretensada en nuestro país dese 1945, y este edificio está realizado con sus sistemas de pilares, jácenas y correas de hormigón, en perfecto estado de conservación y que se ha querido mantener como marco del nuevo proyecto. Este consta de dos partes: El museo y las salas de exposiciones de volúmenes compactos que se sitúan en la zona central de la preexistencia, siguiendo su geometría, y la biblioteca y el archivo, de volúmenes disgregados dispuestos a los lados de un espacio central de oficinas y administración, conectados entre sí mediante pasos abiertos. Como fondo, desde la laguna, la pared de yeso de los escarpes que se levantan por encima del valle.

The project is developed along the lines of the proposed theme of El Río Jarama. The choice of location is at the Pacadar factory, on the shores of the Campillo lagoon, in the Southeast Regional Park, in Madrid. The extraordinary thing about this place is not only the genius loci that seems to inhabit this “natural” environment close to the housing estates, between the Rivas-Vaciamadrid escarpments and the Autovía del Este; it is also due to its proximity to impor-tant enclaves of our recent history, El Espolón and Puente de Arganda, which have inspired the use of the proposal.The main ideas that have guided the project have been the enhancement of the remains of the Civil War with the creation of a museum and archive reusing the Pacadar factory building, and the promotion of outdoor sports and leisure activities in the surroundings of the Campillo lagoon, which was the old gravel pit of the factory.Currently, the Pacadar building is without an activity license due to incompatibility with the protection of the Park. The firm was a pioneer of prefabricated and prestressed construction in our country since 1945, and this building is made with its systems of pillars, girders and concrete straps, in perfect condition and which it has wanted to maintain as the framework of the new project. This consists of two parts: The museum and the exhibition rooms of compact volumes that are located in the central area of the pre-existence, following its geometry, and the library and the archive, of disaggregated volumes arranged on the sides of a central space of offices and administration, connected to each other by open steps. As background, from the lagoon, the plaster wall of the escarpments that rise above the valley.
