Abstract
En el contexto de la pandemia Covid-19 las residencias de mayores de nuestro país estuvieron sometidas a un juicio crítico por los medios de comunicación en lo que se refiere a las actuaciones que adoptaron para la gestión de la situación. Este trabajo pretende conocer cuál ha sido la respuesta socio-sanitaria de las residencias para cuidar a sus residentes, valorando de qué recursos sanitarios disponían y como intentaron suplir el evidente déficit, con medidas de apoyo y refuerzo desde la perspectiva de la utilización de Buenas Prácticas. Recogida de respuestas sobre Buenas Prácticas con un cuestionario autoadministrado y análisis mediante metodología mixta. Las Buenas Prácticas consideradas como de mayor importancia por los participantes han sido las relacionadas con la comunicación (67%) y las medidas de prevención y protección frente al contagio (67%). Mientras que las Buenas Prácticas en el ámbito de los recursos humanos suponen el 56,70% y las relacionadas con la salud psicoemocional alcanzan el 42,26%.Se analizaron un total de 97 respuestas válidas. Las intervenciones prioritarias de los centros fueron hacer frente a la pandemia desde la prevención y protección de sus residentes frente a la infección, dando una importancia relevante a la comunicación con las familias en esta situación. Además, no olvidaron el valor fundamental de la salud psicoemocional y se continuaron realizando actividades relacionadas con este ámbito. n the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the residences of the elderly in our country were subjected to a critical judgment by the media regarding the actions they adopted to manage the situation. This work aims to know what has been the socio-sanitary response of the residences to take care of their residents, assessing what health resources they had and how they tried to fill the obvious deficit, with support and reinforcement measures from the perspective of the use of Good Practices. Collection of answers on Good Practices through a self-administered questionnaire and analysis through mixed methodology. The Good Practices considered as of greatest importance by the participants have been those related to Communication (67%) and prevention and protection Measures against contagion (67%). While good practices in the field of human resources account for 56.70% and those related to psychoemotional health reach 42.26%. A total of 97valid answers were obtained. The priority interventions of the centers were to face the pandemic from the prevention and protection of their residents against infection, giving relevant importance to communication with families in this situation. In addition, they did not forget the fundamental value of psycho-emotional health and continued to carry out activities related to this area.
