Abstract
emocional. This project seeks to weight up the impact of completing sociograms on students,
analyze the relation between the role acquired in bullying situations and sociometric
status, and analyze the relationship between this sociometric status and the emotional
intelligence and self-esteem levels. This project has been carried out because of the lack
of research and the fact that a lot of possible bullying situations in schools can be
prevented by this knowledge. A total of 353 students from 6º EP, 1º ESO and 2º ESO,
coming from public and state-funded schools from Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), have
participated in this project. The students completed in two non-consecutive days a
sociogram, two ethical questionnaires, a bullying questionnaire, a self-esteem
questionnaire and an emotional intelligence questionnaire. The results have shown: a) no
significant impact after the sociograms were completed by the students, b) that there is
no relation between the sociometric status and the role regarding bullying, and c) that the
rejected students show less self-esteem and emotional intelligence.
