Abstract
New technologies, and especially mobile phones, offer countless applications in
order to make life easier for us, but they also have a big addictive power. Teenagers are
especially vulnerable and they have a higher probability of developing abuse or addiction
behaviors towards smartphones, due to the evolutionary moment they are in. As with most
of addictions, prevention is one of the most effective forms of intervention. This, with the
risk that teenagers run, makes it necessary to take measures from school centers. With all
this, it is presented a program for the prevention of abuse and addiction to smartphones,
aimed at students in 1st Secondary, and in which families will also be involved. It
proposes a series of actions included in the Tutorial Action Plan, and the objective is to
sensitize young people about the negative impact of mobile phone abuse on his daily life
and encourage reflexion on their own behavior.
