Ayer y hoy de la educación: reflexiones para el profesorado

Abstract

Entre el ayer y el hoy de la educación existen una lluvia de objetivos e intenciones que marcan las líneas educativas del futuro. En este trabajo, reconocemos los logros del ayer como una base ilustrada sobre la que iniciar el camino hacia la igualdad de oportunidades, la transformación social y la democratización de las instituciones educativas. Las escuelas entendidas como comunidades de aprendizaje y cambio social. En este proceso, el profesorado juega un papel importante en la flexibilización de las estructuras académicas y en el reconocimiento de la diversidad cultural, social y personal del alumnado.

Between the past and the present of education there exists a great amount of objectives and intentions which mark the educational lines for the future. In this work, we acknowledge the achievements of the past as an illustrative base upon which we could initiate the path towards equality of opportunities, social transformation and the democratisation of the educative institutions: The schools seen as communities of learning and social change. In this process, the teachers play a very important role in the flexibility of the academic structures as well as in the acknowledgement of the cultural, social and personal diversity of the students.
