Abstract
The main objective of this TFM is to present the biography of important mathematicians women to students of ESO and High School in a way that we can encourage interest in mathematics as well as give them the visibility they deserve and that, normally, seems to be forgotten in text books. Talking about their lives and their great contributions will increase women’s visibility in scientific areas and empower young girls to take an interest in STEM careers so that we reverse the current trend in our universities.
Based on the life and main contributions of mathematicians women I have organized a series of teaching resources that make a different use of mathematics in the classroom and that will try to encourage motivation and curiosity of all students for further research.
This project is focused on the biographies of six mathematicians women, but there are so many other mathematicians and scientist women on whom we can expand the project.
