Approaching several methodologies and strategies in the development of teaching skills

Abstract

It could be stated that the teacher-centred method is the most traditional one and training teachers might have been taught through it at school. During the internship, they would have the opportunity to use different strategies and methodologies that fit in the newer studentcentred method. In this paper, I will discuss some existing approaches to teach different learning areas (listening, writing, speaking, reading, grammar and vocabulary) while developing the students’ cultural awareness and communication skills. This will allow me to reflect on my didactic unit, teaching experience and my methodologies used.
