Abstract
Today has arrived and the turning point is clearer now than ever. We are on the verge of a crisis of the established consumption model never experienced before due to a logic of growing abundance. Faced with this stuation of aesthetic, functional and ecological wear dragged since the post world war period, a global effort is required from the different industrial organizations to find a change of paradigm in the mercantile dynamics that guarantees a stable transition towards a new system to be explored.
This essay arises as a response of architectural interest in the search for a critical lane on the industrial model which is global. A model that encourages the mechanization of the construction process in favor of prefabrication, endangering the craft knowledge and human involvement in the project; but at the same time a model impossible to leave aside.
The discussion is not new, as voices of change have been warning of this danger since the 1960s, seeking a conciliatory meeting between the two sides. Two of the most complete and unexplored exponents of the post-industrial discourse are Simone and Lucien Kroll.
After a first introduction where we make a historical-ideological journey that situates the cultural moment of their criticism, we dive into an analysis of the most significant objects of their work to unravel the details that make these architects an example to the order of current events. In this way our aspiration in this work is to praise the value of a trajectory on the way to be lost that can be useful in the building of our future.
