La abogacía en Roma : principios inspiradores de la abogacía contemporánea.

Abstract

La abogacía trata del ejercicio de defensa que una persona realiza a favor de otra, defendiendo sus intereses patrimoniales ante el poder judicial. La evolución y regulación de esta profesión tiene sus inicios en la antigua Roma, dónde se perfeccionaron los distintos ordenamientos o marcos legales que regularían dicha práctica, siendo esta época el punto de inicio donde investigar y analizar la evolución del concepto de abogado contemporáneo y las similitudes con su antecesor romano.

Advocacy is the exercise of defence that a person carries out on behalf of another person, defending his rights or patrimonial interests. The evolution and regulation of this profession has its beginnings in ancient Rome, where the different legal systems or frameworks that would regulate this practice were perfected, being this period the starting point to investigate and analyse the evolution of the concept of the contemporary lawyer and the similarities with its Roman predecessor.
