The purpose of this document is to discern the methodology used when designing an architectural project to appear in a film. The standard for a real architecture are well known and have already been studied, we will study here how they change when the objective of the work is to be filmed instead of inhabited. Through this analysis, the treatment of architecture in cinema will be studied in a more general way, that is, the different ways of representing it and it’s use in cinematographic language. The examples of architecture and cinema are too numerous to make an in-depth study of all of them, so the analysis will be restricted to five specific cases. These five films (Metropolis, Mon Oncle, Psycho, High-Rise and Parasite) follow the common thread of dealing with the duality of architecture, symbolizing the themes of each film. The result obtained can be considered as a compilation of the guidelines followed in the design of architecture for cinema, as well as a study of the evolution and aspects of this throughout the history of the seventh art.en
